Terms and Conditions for Car Rentals
These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for renting a car from our service. By renting a vehicle, you agree to comply with the following terms:
1. General Requirements
- Eligibility: The renter must be at least 21 years old (or as per local regulations) and possess a valid driver’s license.
- Documentation: The renter must provide a government-issued photo ID, a valid driver’s license, and any additional documents requested.
- Payment: Full payment or a security deposit must be made before the rental period begins.
2. Vehicle Usage
- Authorized Drivers: Only the renter or additional drivers approved by the rental company are allowed to drive the vehicle.
- Driving Limits: The vehicle may only be used for lawful purposes and within the geographical area agreed upon during the rental.
- Prohibited Uses: The vehicle must not be used:
- For racing, speed testing, or competitions.
- Under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other substances.
- To carry passengers or goods for hire.
- To tow or push other vehicles.
3. Rental Period and Extensions
- Rental Duration: The rental period is agreed upon at the time of booking. Late returns may incur additional charges.
- Extensions: Extensions must be requested at least 24 hours before the end of the rental period and are subject to approval and availability.
- Early Returns: No refunds will be provided for unused rental days.
4. Fees and Charges
- Rental Charges: Charges are calculated on a per-day or hourly basis (as agreed), including applicable taxes.
- Late Fees: Late returns will incur additional charges per hour or day.
- Fuel Policy: The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at the start of the rental. Refueling charges will apply for any shortfall.
- Tolls and Fines: The renter is responsible for any tolls, fines, or penalties incurred during the rental period.
5. Insurance and Liability
- Insurance: Basic insurance coverage is included in the rental price. Additional insurance may be purchased for extra coverage.
- Damage Responsibility: The renter is responsible for any damage to the vehicle caused during the rental period, except for normal wear and tear.
- Accidents: In case of an accident, the renter must:
- Notify the rental company and local authorities immediately.
- Provide a detailed report and necessary documentation.
- Loss or Theft: The renter is responsible for the cost of the vehicle in case of theft or total loss unless covered by purchased insurance.
6. Maintenance and Repairs
- Condition of the Vehicle: The vehicle is provided in good working condition. Any pre-existing damage must be reported before taking possession of the vehicle.
- Repairs: Repairs must not be undertaken without prior approval from the rental company. Unauthorized repairs will not be reimbursed.
7. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Cancellations: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the start of the rental period for a full refund.
- Refunds: No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the rental period or for no-shows.
8. Booking and Payments
- Payment Methods: Payments can be made via credit card, debit card, or UPI.
- Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit may be required and will be returned within 7 days of the vehicle’s return, provided no damage or violations occurred.
9. Indemnity
The renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the rental company from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the use of the vehicle.
10. Termination
The rental company reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement and reclaim the vehicle if the terms are violated.
11. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of India, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of Telangana.
12. Acknowledgment
By signing the rental agreement or completing the booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
